Playing with PEPS People

Loic and I went to the zoo with our PEPS group on a beautiful October afternoon. Loic didn't notice many animals but had a great time on the blanket on the lawn with his buddies. The crawlers go at it for the best toys...

Standing, Crawling, Eating, and Sleeping!

Loic is no longer content to sit and play. Now play is moving, crawling, pulling himself up, cruising on the couch and tables. And of course, taking falls because his footing is not very sure. Month seven has been really fun: eating (he's finally enjoying solids!), crawling, standing, and maybe most important...sleeping! Loic still nurses at night (1-2 times) but other than that, he sleeps (11-12 hours). We have regained our evenings and long chunks of sleep at night. Everyone is happier with the schedule. Hurrah!

Pre Bedtime Nudie Time

Looking Big

Loic has a new favorite past time. Standing! And he's getting quite stable. Mom and I think that he'll use crawling to find a place to stand. The photos are blurry because I hate the flash and he's always moving. He's still working on crawling but he works on it a lot less than standing. Thanks Auntie Helen for the cute sweatshirt!

Eating, or, Hanging out in the High Chair

Believe it or not, eating does not come naturally to Loic. He's getting there, but for now is happy with a couple bites of whatever is being served and then some q-time with the spoon. He loves his spoon! The slimy close-up is carrots, I think. Maybe peach. Really, it's no wonder that he's not an voracious eater. I mean, the menu is pretty boring.

Loic's New Spot

Loic is getting ready to travel around...soon he'll be cruising around the kitchen (and everywhere else). For now, I can set him down and come back to him after I've finished my task. I am cherishing this time, 'cause what is coming next is much more busy.

Loic's First Dinner in a Tatami Room

At Maneki, a classic old Japanese Restaurant in the International District. No sushi for the little guy...yet. We went with our friends, Emily and Mike and their daughters, Olivia and Fiona. The four grown-ups have shared many a dinner at Maneki and it was pretty fun to enjoy it with three small kiddos in tow. Tatami rooms are perfect for kiddos.
