Loic's been rejecting sleep lately. So, instead of napping, he and I set off in the heat of the day on a walk to Golden Gardens. It was glorious. And we weren't the only ones enjoying the beach. There was a baptism tent and large stage set up for some beach worship. Quite a scene.

Foraging with Caroline

My Swiss host mother is with us in Seattle right now. I could go on and on about all the ways it's awesome to have her here (in short, she's lots of fun and a great help)...She is also a master gatherer of moutain products to be made into treats. Here, she is gathering new growth from conifers to make her "miel de sapin". It is tasty, come on over we'll make waffles on which to drizzle it.1st Teeth.
I thought that Loic was going through a growth spurt of the brain (as described by Seattle's understanding baby guru, Anne Kepler) and that was why his sleep habits were changing, why he seemed especially dependent on the boob, and why he sometimes whimpered in his sleep. But then these two bewts (beauts?) popped through, one on Thursday, the second on Friday of Loic's 15th week. "Why do you need teeth already?", I ask him.
